Brian is uniquely gifted to explain the Gospel in a powerful and yet practical way. His warm personality and genuine zeal quickly connects with audiences of all ages and backgrounds. He enjoys speaking at churches, summer camps, and colleges, about discipleship, overcoming adversity, and boldly living out the Gospel.

Brian was saved at the age of 14 and surrendered to ministry at 16. He travels and speaks to churches, public schools, summer camps and universities all over the United States. Brian has an amazing story of Christ transforming him from a rebellious teenager into a man who is passionate about God. He clearly communicates the timeless principles of God’s Word with effective zeal and enthusiasm.

He is a graduate of Gardner-Webb University with a B.A. in Religious Studies and a Masters of Divinity in Pastoral Studies.

Brian is married to Angie Burgess and they have three boys. They enjoy working out, camping, traveling the world, and riding motorcycles. It is Brian’s desire that their life, family, and ministry will so accurately reflect God’s grace and power that they may encourage and enrich your ministry.

How to go from Knowing Him to Making Him Known

We had Brian Burgess speak at our high school retreat which kicks off our school year – so Brian got to set the spiritual tone with our students and he really did a great job. Brian loves to share the Gospel with students – he is straight-forward, easy-to-understand, engaging, and connected very well with our students on and off the stage. Brian shares a very Biblically-sound message interwoven with interesting and inspiring personal and historical tidbits and stories. His message and delivery are solid. We really enjoyed having Brian share at our retreat – students were challenged and lives were changed for eternity

Brian Burgess did a wonderful Christ centered job speaking at our High School graduation! He gave the graduates a timely word in a way that was fun and engaging yet something that would impact their lives for the future. We would not hesitate to recommend him to speak for your groups.

Brian has been my best and most consistent friend since we were in elementary school. We were saved in the same church and called to preach under the same pastor. We both attended Gardner-Webb, but Brian went on to complete his MDiv and is now working on his DMin. Brian is an evangelist. He knows how to clearly communicate the gospel (without any manipulation or tricks). He also knows how to teach Christians what the gospel is and how we live it out, share it, and carry it to our community and our world. Brian is a genius... one conversation with him makes one’s head spin. However, when he preaches, his southern charm and warm personality disarms the audience. He is very authentic, sharing personal doubts and struggles as he preaches. He is also a faithful husband and father of 4. He has a great reputation in our region, and is booked up 6-8 months in advance at churches and colleges. He is a man of character... we have literally traveled the world together and he lives out what he preaches.

He is down to earth, hilarious, and real. And the man can flat out teach the scripture and preach the gospel. He has served as a youth pastor and evangelism pastor, and has also been a main stage speaker at our Crossroads events for the past 17 years.

I hope this helps. He knows the rules, he comes to serve, he is not a rock star, he is not demanding, he pays attention to the culture he is preaching to, and he won’t do or say silly or stupid things that you have to clean up when he leaves. He is both a great man of God and amazing communicator.
