We all love camp, and we all want each summer to be better than the last. Here’s what I think are the 10 best ways we can maximize our week at camp and have the BEST SUMMER EVER.
Participate in Tournaments
You don’t have to actually play in tournaments to participate. Head on out to the athletic fields and root for your youth group’s teams! You could even visit the creative studio to make signs and posters!
Meet New People
Whether that means someone from another youth group, or someone you’ve never spoken to from your own group, get to know someone new. You never know, you may have a lot more in common with them than you think!
I may be a bit biased having been a Quad Squad member for two summers, but the Quad is a special place. Here’s a little Quad secret: we LOVE it when you come out there with game ideas for us, we’ll play anything out there with you guys. Not to mention all of the activities we’ve already got planned! (Quiz Bowl anyone??)
At Crossroads we feel that we’ve assembled the best camp staff in the country. You crazy campers energize us and we CAN’T WAIT to meet every single one of you. Meet as many staffers as you can!
An easy way to stay engaged and make the most of your time during worship services is to take some notes. Write down whatever sticks out to you, so that when the week is over you can go back and remember what you learned at camp!
Bring candy, chips, soda, zebra cakes, and whatever other snacks you love. Staffers love it when you share ;)
Don’t be shy!
Camp is a great time to bring youth groups closer together! So don’t be shy and be a part of what the Lord is doing in your group! You won’t regret it and you’ll make lifelong friends because of it!
GO TO SLEEP…
We enforce the 11:30pm lights out time for a reason! We want you to be well rested so that you can be 100% active for each full day of camp. So get some Z’s and be ready to hit the EPIC field in the morning!
…but stay up until 11:30
WE LOVE hanging out with you in the dorms at night. Girls, get ready for the talent show nights and guys, be ready for anything. Things can get crazy in those dorms (until lights out, then GO TO SLEEP).
Expect the unexpected!
Come to camp with an open heart and ready to have the best time of your life! Some of the best memories of my life are from camp, and you’ll have stories to tell forever about all the fun you had at camp and how the Lord worked in your life!!
We can’t wait to see you this summer at camp! I’ll be at the Quad so come by and say hello!
(And of course don’t forget to hashtag #CRSC15)
